EXPERIENCING Internship Program
The Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) is currently seeking interns for its 2009 Cohort
Internship Program. This is a wonderful opportunity for college students interested in the
experience of working in a public agency.
The CHA provides housing for approximately 139,000 residents in Chicago and partners
with many organizations to ensure residents have access to opportunities and services
that help achieve self-sufficiency.
Description:
The CHA Student Internship Program is an annual program designed to provide an opportunity
for students to gain insight into various departments within the CHA. At the
end of the internship the goal is for the intern to have a sense of accomplishment and an
interest in working at the CHA. Qualified residents of CHA Housing Developments
are encouraged to apply.
Requirements:
• Applicants must be enrolled as active, full-time students
in good standing at an accredited college or
university; sophomores, juniors and seniors preferred
• Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or greater as an undergraduate
and 2.5 or greater if in graduate school
• Applicants must provide proof of current enrollment
• Applicants must provide a transcript of grades for most recently completed semester
