Chicagoland Green Collar Jobs Initiative: 5-minute Online Survey
The Chicagoland Green Collar Jobs Initiative (the Initiative) invites you to participate in a 5-minute online survey that seeks to understand how the "green" movement may be influencing businesses.
Since September 2007, the Initiative has been working to facilitate the development of a skilled workforce that is ready to meet employer demands and capitalize on opportunities in the new "green" economy. The Initiative is a collaboration of partners from labor groups, community organizations, businesses, community colleges, sustainability organizations, and nonprofits.
A primary undertaking of the Initiative is this survey of businesses in Cook, DuPage, and Lake counties. A report will be compiled from the responses and distributed to all those participating. Individual survey responses will be kept confidential.
This is the first step in a wider effort to hear from businesses about how sustainability and "green" may be influencing their activities. It will be followed by individual and group interviews to better identify areas of opportunity in emerging green sectors. Your response will help inform the process and foster a closer relationship between employers and workforce development organizations. You can access the survey online at www.greencollarchicago.org/survey.
